MBFWA is back for another year, with the fashion elite given a warm-up (well, maybe not “warm”) into the week ahead this afternoon with the Camilla & Marc show held at the Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park. Celebrity guests in attendance included the likes of Anna Heinrich, Elsa Pataky, Jessica Gomes, Nadia Fairfax, Kate Waterhouse, Sara Donaldson… plus a host of others.
While the heavy rain did put a damper on the arrival scene, the parade itself had all attendees excited for the week ahead – with brother and sister designer duo Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman showing the strength of Australian style with their array of masculine meets feminine tailored pieces in tones of khaki, rust, and stone. And then there was the hall itself – which was transformed into an other-worldly fashion desert thanks to the help of 60 tonnes of imported sand. Epicness.
