Inside her beauty bag with Sammy Robinson

We know she’s big on Instagram, just as huge on YouTube, and probably has a stack of Snapchat followers (if we had access to this info), but it’s actually her TikTok account that has us suddenly becoming more obsessed than ever with Sammy Robinson. Girl is TikTok viewing gold (although it probably helps that her Gigi Hadid-esque looks make her male impersonations that much funnier).

Add that with the news she’s just about to launch her own clothing line ‘One Mile’ – and we’ve begun hitting the refresh button on her social media platforms more than we’d like to admit. And while her posts have us pondering all the deep questions – how much does she need to practice to get her lip synching so good, when will we be able to get our hands on her label, and how is it possible that we go to the same gym but have such different results – mostly we’re just preoccupied with her makeup and that glow (btw, it’s Bondi Sands. Don’t think we didn’t ask).

While Sammy isn’t shy on sharing a makeup tip or two, we wanted to find out what her everyday go-tos are when she’s not filming a how-to. Here, she opens up her makeup bag to reveal just what products are her all time beauty must-haves.

THE BAG:
I use a whole heap of different bags because I have so many toiletries… The Daily Edited do cute little pouches.

SKIN:
I always use my Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Hydrator. It is my go-to never fail moisturiser and makes for a lovely base under makeup too.

BASE:
I absolutely love the Dior Beauty Forever Skin Glow as of recently, or my Clinique Even Better Refresh for more of an everyday base. Also the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer or Tarte Shape Tape.

CHEEK:
Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes, MAC blushes and MAC Give Me Sun Bronzer (the best of all time), and Becca Highlighter in Opal or Champagne Pop.

EYES:
I just use my concealer as a base on my eyelids and set it down with translucent powder (Laura Mercier). Eyeshadows that are amazing are Anastasia Beverly Hill palettes amongst others, but I always, always swap and change and mostly don’t wear so much eyeshadow. You can’t go wrong with a bronzer in your crease and your highlighter in your inner corner and on your lid. I wear eyelash extensions, so no mascara!

LIPS:
My all time favourite lipstick is Velvet Teddy by MAC. Other amazing MAC lip products are Honey Love and Whirl Lip Liner. I love the Dior Lip Gloss, Hourglass Lip Gloss in Child, and Fenty Lip Gloss.

FAVOURITE BODY PRODUCT:
Bondi Sands Aero in Ultra Dark and Frank Body Coffee Scrub (although I don’t do this nearly as much as I would like to).

MUST HAVE SELF-TANNER:
Bondi Sands Aero in Ultra Dark! Dries in seconds and such a nice colour.

TOP TANNING TIPS:
Moisturise, exfoliate, self tan, moisturise, moisturise, moisturise, and tan your face to make the rest of your body look more natural and even.

SOMETHING YOU CAN’T LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT:
I love to keep a lip gloss on me in my handbag, whether or not I am wearing makeup that day, as it is always nice to look like you have hydrated lips.

TOP 3 BEAUTY RULES/TIPS YOU ALWAYS STICK TO:
1. Wash your hair and style it to make yourself look put together at all times.
2. Have a simple 3 step makeup routine for on-the-go such as a nice cream bronzer, lip gloss/ lipstick, blush to liven up your skin
3. Always cleanse and moisturise your skin religiously – never leave makeup on
4. Sorry, I am giving you four tips instead because I can’t choose… Put a little bit of self tanner on your face by mixing it into your moisturiser in the morning and wash it off once developed 6- 8 hours later to give your complexion a gorgeous bronze glow.
