How to get Cartia Mallan's New York Fashion Week hair styles

With New York Fashion week upon us once more, this week has seen the streets of Tribeca aflood with designers and models – accompanied by the usual parade of front row attendees from buyers to media to celebrities, and then of course, influencers. While the garments take centre stage throughout the week, it’s also a time where hair and beauty receives the eyes of a global audience.

Capturing some of this attention is Tresemmé. Celebrating its 10 year hair care sponsorship of New York Fashion Week, the hair care brand has flown a number of top Australian influencers to NYC to help create up-to-the-minute runway to realway looks that mimic those directly found on the catwalk.

With Max May on the ground to recreate the looks, the celebrity hairstylist has talked Husskie through three of the How-tos he created on beauty Instablogger and vlogger Cartia Mallan throughout the week. Here, Max shows us the steps he used on Cartia to achieve the top hair flicking looks of the season as found at the Rebecca Minkoff, Prabal Gurung, and Naeem Khan shows.

For the Rebecca Minkoff show

Prep with Tresemmé Ultimate Hydration

Section and pull through mousse
Blow dry with paddle brush
Repeat
Tong flat to create waves
Set with hairspray
