With an estimated net worth of US$12 million in 2016, Blonde Salad blogger Chiara Ferragni is the perfect example of how a blogger can use their influence to negotiate further into the world of business. And now the savvy Italian fashion blogger is thrilled to be making the next move with her burgeoning retail business with the launch of her first stand-alone pop-up store in the US.
Opening its doors to customers on Saturday, the temporary store has set up shop at The Grove in Los Angeles until January 2. Housing pieces from Chiaraβs 2016 collection, the store also sells six styles from her upcoming Spring collection that are available exclusively to the pop-up store.
Discussing the decision to launch the store over the Christmas holidays, Ferragni tells Pret-a-Reporter: “My family always comes here to visit for Christmas, and last year they were like, ‘Oh, my God, Chiara, you have to open a store here, it would be a dream!’ Then we started working on it, and it actually happened. Itβs insane!”
Gushing about the launch to her 7.2 million Instagram followers, Ferragni grammed: βCouldn’t be more proud of our @chiaraferragnicollection pop up store at The Grove. Open until January 2nd! Go check it out ?β
The pop-up store signals further moves into bricks and mortar retail for Chiara, with the fashion blogger planning on opening a permanent store in Milan in 2017 as well as potential expansions to New York and LA.
