At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, you’d normally find Mimi Elashiry seated in the frow and getting snapped for street style – but this year the content creator put a twist on tradition, taking a turn behind the camera (something she’s often spotted doing for her website mimielashiry.com). Capturing her favourite fashion moments throughout the week for Grazia, Mimi spent her time juggling duties both in front and behind the camera.
Here, we take a look at just what a day in her life looked like at MBFWA 2018…
8am
I get up and head to Orchard Street before heading home to get ready in my outfit from YOOX.
11am
I arrive at Carriageworks and shoot street style before Bianca Spender. I’ve been taking pictures for Grazia using a digital camera – and then also shooting some of my own stuff on film.
12pm
Watch the Bianca Spender show. After the show I hang around chatting to some people and taking more street shots.
1pm
Watch the Lee Mathews show – which was really beautiful.
2pm
After that I head home and chill before coming back to MBFWA in time to catch the Alice McCall show in the evening.
7pm
Watch Alice McCall.
8pm
After the show, I head home and have some pasta, take the dog for a walk for two hours, and go to bed!
